Build an Action Plan

Build an artist’s action plan, a blueprint for success.
Do you know what you want? Are you clear about what you should be focusing on each day to help build your business? Are you unsure about how to get to where you want to go?
Why an action plan? Because it gives you focus by defining concrete goals and manageable action steps to follow each day.
Ann Rea’s last day job was as a project management consultant. When she quit her job and moved to the beach in San Francisco to paint full time the first thing she did was define a SMART goal and build an action plan, “to sell over $100,000 of her paintings within one year.” She exceeded that SMART goal by 20%.

Ann Rea has served as an international marketing consultant for a number of painters, mixed media artists, photographers, musicians, designers, wine makers, and even Fortune 500 companies, such as; E & J Gallo Winery and General Motors. Rea initiated the concept of selling the same car for the same price – removing dreaded haggling from the car buying experience, helping put the GM Saturn car on the map. Armed with this success she eventually decided to build her own art business. She turned a profit within one year and then decided to help other artists. Ann offers limited consulting, one on one coaching by application, and she teaches Artists Who THRIVE Seminars, including those sponsored by the Small Business Development Centers to a record numbers of attendees.
Ann Rea founded Artists Who THRIVE with a mission to empower artists to thrive creatively and financially.
By sharing her experiences and insights she has guided a diverse number of artists from across the globe in building profitable businesses by helping them developing effective marketing strategies while maintaining creative freedom.
Rea walks her talk. Her oil paintings, and her inspired business approach, have been featured on the “Fine Living” network, in “Fortune” magazine, and profiled in the book “Career Renegade.” Her talent is commended by American Art icon Wayne Thiebaud, and she has a growing list of collectors across North America and Europe.
